There is nothing better than reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ. Not only does this apply to our time and talents, but our investments can also be used to support ministry as well. The Michigan Area Loan Fund of the United Methodist Church is providing investors an excellent opportunity to earn money while helping Michigan Area United Methodist Churches and Institutions grow.
When you invest in the MALF, you earn a great rate, so you can save money for your retirement, a children's education, or a rainy day. What's more, your financial resources are helping to build, expand and strengthen ministries of the United Methodist Church in Michigan.
When you invest in the MALF, 100% of your money stays in Michigan, helping to strengthen our Michigan economy, and helping churches and ministries in our area grow and expand.
Investments may be made at any time. Redemptions may be made at any time without penalty, although we may require at least 60 days prior written notice. All investments are made solely through our Prospectus and Investment Application information packet.
Currently we are offering 3.0% interest for investments under $100,000, and 3.25% for investment accounts that are $100,000 or larger. We may adjust (increase or decrease) the interest rate on outstanding investment accounts upon 30 days prior written notice.
A complete Prospectus and Investment Application has been prepared for review and may be downloaded from this website by anyone interested in investing with the Michigan Area Loan Fund. If you have questions or need additional information about investing with the Michigan Area Loan Fund, please contact us.
An audit of the MALF was completed at the end of 2010 by an independent auditing service and is available for review by request of our Board of Directors. Feel free to download a copy of the report, which was submitted at the end of March 2011.
Please contact us for a copy of the Prospectus and account application information today. Your investment could help reach more people in the Michigan Area with the message of Jesus Christ.
This shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy, nor shall there be any sale of Investment Accounts in any state in which such offer, solicitation, or sale is not authorized. The offering is made solely by the Prospectus, which more than fully describes certain risks involved in a purchase of Investment Accounts. THE INVESTMENT ACCOUNTS ARE NOT FDIC OR SIPC INSURED, ARE PAYABLE ONLY BY THE MICHIGAN AREA LOAN FUND, AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED BY THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, THE UNITED METHODIST FOUNDATION OF MICHIGAN OR ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION.
